Birthday Book Haul

img_4572

So it’s my birthday today!! (Yay!) and I got some pretty cool books from my mom and dad so this is a post just talking about the books I got. Some of these books were steals  so I’m gong to rant about them because they were so cheap??

1.Swimming in The Moon by Pamela Schoenewaldt

Goodreads

This was like 2$ at chapters and plus it was blurbed by the author of The Orphan Train so I just had to buy it. It’s a historical fiction novel about immigrants which I love so this should be good.

2.The Coldest Girl in Coldtown by Holly Black

Goodreads

I’ve heard so many people talk about this and I mean I don’t really like vampires but I’ve always wanted to try a Holly Black novel.I love the cover, and plus it looks pretty interesting.

3.The Sun is Also A Star by Nicola Yoon

Goodreads

I’m sooo excited to read this! Two PoC characters falling in love??sign me up. Plus the cover is amazingly beautiful

4.The Unexpected Everything by Morgan Matson.

Goodreads

I got this a chapters for 6$ and I’m screaming because it’s a hardcover+plus it’s a 2016 release. If you’re canadian, and want this book, try your local chapters, you might find the same deal if you look at the Bargain Books section. I’m so excited for this book, I love Morgan Matson

5.The Raven king by Maggie Stiefvater

Goodreads

I’m really excited to finally be able to finish the Raven Cycle and see how it ends. I’ve been avoiding spoilers since April so it better be worth it.

6.The Girl From Everywhere by Heidi Heilig

Goodreads

I am so excited to read this, I follow Heidi on twitter and she’s awesome, and this book sounds amazing and diverse and just really amazing. It’s time travel and that’s all I need to know. I’m hoping it’s going to be amazing.

7.Miss Carter’s War by Sheila Hancock

Goodreads

So this is like a historical fiction post world war 2  in England and I honestly don’t know much about it but like  the synopsis talks about the fight for gay rights so I’m there.

8. Mutiny on The Bound by John Boyne

Goodreads

So considering I gave The Boy in The Striped Pajamas a one star I have no idea why I bought this but like it was 1$, it looks interesting and it’s important to give some authors second chances, right?

So that’s my birthday book haul! Have You read any of these books? What did you think of them? If you want to do a buddyread for any of these books, let me know, that would be really fun!
